A Good Samaritan named Kyle saw this little guy roaming near a business at Hwy 5/Hwy 380 two different evenings. He posted to a lost/found page on Facebook and MMESAR was tagged. McKinney Animal Services has been unable to locate or capture him since so our team has accepted the case. We will be putting boots on the ground today to survey the area, gain property access, and deploy a video monitored feeding station. WE NEED MORE SIGHTINGS to ensure he is still in the area and help us with tracking and feeding station placement.
Below is his case timeline where we will publish updates in real time!
Our team put boots on the ground tonight to deploy a video monitored feeding station to see if he is still in the area.
Only 2 feral littermate kitties showed up overnight. We replenished the food this morning and freshened our liquid smoke trail.
Once we get the dog captured we will ensure these feral kitties are trapped so that they can be spayed/neutered and possibly go into Collin County’s barn cat program. On camera it does not appear that these cats have their ears tipped so it’s not likely that they are already part of a registered feral colony.
He/she did not show up yesterday or overnight. We are hoping for new public sightings so that we can confirm he is still roaming the area. We will keep the feeding station going for 2-3 more days to see if he shows up.
He/she has not shown up to our feeding station and there have been zero sightings since the Good Samaritan last saw him a few days ago.
He/she has not shown up to our feeding station and there have been zero sightings. It’s very possible that he/she had gotten lost but his family found him or he returned home on his own. We are going to leave the feeding station deployed for a few more days just in case and make a social media post to see if anyone recognizes him/her.
We have continued to replenish our feeding station daily but there have been zero sightings even after we posted to social media for the area. It’s very likely that he was lost but he is now home. For now we are going to demobilize our feeding station and suspend this case.
‼️If anyone sees him astray on social media in that area, please contact us as soon as possible. Thank you so much! info@muttsandmayhem.org
