This sweet little girl has been skittish and frightened of her own shadow since the very beginning of her time. Tragically, she escaped out of an open door in her home in the middle of the night and because every one was sleeping, it was several hours before she was discovered missing. Over the past several weeks there have been multiple sightings of Shire, but unfortunately people who did not know any better have continued to chase her, causing her to change locations and to roam around aimlessly petrified.
Shires’s mom Christine has worked tirelessly trying to find her. She has gone to the ends of the earth by passing out flyers, hanging posters, she hired canine scent trackers, and she has maintained feeding stations, all to no prevail.
When Mutts & Mayhem put boots on the ground on 06/30/24, there hadn’t been a sighting of Shire for over a week. In order for our team to pinpoint her existing location and lure her to a feeding station, we need new sightings.
Follow the case timeline below for daily case updates and learn how you can help!
Our team put boots on the ground today and met with Shire’s mom. We surveyed the area, started putting together a sightings map which helps us track her more closely, and we set up a video monitored feeding station in an isolated location. We did a 300 yard liquid smoke scent trail to the feeding station to help lure Shire to the station.
Shire’s mom has been replenishing the feeding station daily. Hopefully we will get more sightings and she will show up to one of our feeding stations soon.

We truly believe someone is seeing her, but they don’t know who to call. If you are available to help pass out flyers for Shires’s mom, please text the phone number on the flyer above.
We still have a camera monitored feeding station deployed in the area she was last seen and the station is replenished daily. We are hoping she will resurface back into that area.
We partnered with Kimberly and her highly trained K9’s Lexie & Tulip of “K9 Trackers” on this case and today both Lexie and Tulip confirmed that Shire is or has recently been in a new area but is still relatively close to the last sighting location. Two new feeding stations were deployed in the new area to try and lure her in. If you live anywhere within the grid mapped below, please keep your eye out for her and notify us right away if you see her.

Early this morning, we had two different dogs show up at one of our feeding stations. If you or anyone you know is missing them please contact us right away! If they are still in the area, they should continue showing up to the feeding station and then they will need to be captured.
One of the dogs is definitely an unneutered male.
