“Destiny”~ Case 418

⚠️NOT DANGEROUS… She is just scared and in survival/flight mode.  She will RUN if approached. 

We have been in communications with Red River County sheriffs office about a stray dog who has been living at a rest area for over a year.  Red River County does not have the resources to capture her so they have requested our assistance. Good Samaritans Jason and Brandi discovered her while they were traveling through the area and they made a call to action!  Jason and Brandi have made the drive back and forth from home several times to feed her and check on her.  A Good Samaritan named James and countless others have kept her fed, made her a dog house and cared for her from afar.  They named her “Destiny”.  Thankfully, she is staying at the rest area and just goes into hiding when people try to approach her.  

We have agreed to take this case and travel the two hours one way to capture her. We will likely deploy early December when we finish with our current case load.

Our team was planning to deploy for capture on December 8th but as of today Destiny has disappeare.  Loggers have began cutting trees only 30 yards from her main den so we suspect that she was scared and left that location.  We will be mailing posters and flyers to one of the locals to pass out in order to find her again.  As soon as we can locate her our team will plan our trip to capture her.  

Tragically big machinery arrived to the rest area and started logging.  It scared Destiny and she left.  People who live in the area are working hard to find her.  Once she is located and a new feeding station is setup for her, our team will plan our trip there for capture.  

Since the loggers came back in January, nobody has seen Destiny.  She has disappeared.
