11/9/2015 Oreo adopted November 2015 “Oh it was so funny. I wanted to email you. Ha ha we talked together all the way to my house. He kept meowing and I kept talking and calling his name as I drove along. He was so sweet. Then took him into house opened the cage and he slowing came out. Looking all around. And sort of "casing the the joint!" Haha. Then he went in by drier and hid. We left him along for a little while and then checked he was laying on the side of dryer and we reached in picked him up. Brought him on the den sat down and he let us pet him. He kept looking around at his new home. Checking it out. He went in kitchen I guess he saw his food dish, water dish and liter box. Then found my bedroom. Went on my bedroom and hid some place. I just let him be. I visited with my friend and I guess he stayed there and maybe went exploring at night. Not sure as I went to bed. I heard things being knocked down off the footstool but was so sleepy it didn't matter. Anyway, it was a wonderful experience. I think he will do so much better than the other cat. He wasn't fighting us or anything. I think he is also prettier than the other cat as well. I just love him. I will let you know how things go. Later that same day... I had not seen Oreo all day long. I had been in and out of the house. So this evening I went to the computer and was calling in the house “kitty kitty”. Nobody came. So then I called “Oreo, Oreo” several times and who should put his head around the door? Ha! Yes! Then we had the best little session of loving you have never seen. He stayed around me and would wonder off and then come back. I got ready for bed and picked him up and brought him to bed with me. He is laying on my feet now and looking around. Isn’t that wonderful? He is so sweet. And he warmed up so fast. Which is what I was hoping for. As for the other cat. I saw her run from the computer area when I went on there. But at least she didn't run as fast. So who knows maybe she too will come around. Anyway, just wanted you to know Oreo is working out great. At least for now and maybe for ever.”. Nancy H. 6/4/2015 Aslan adopted May 2014 “I had to send you this picture of Aslan's first time outside. I like to sit on my porch and he sits at the door meowing and pawing the door until I come back in. So I bought him a harness and took him outside. He was scared but I think he enjoyed all the new sniffs. His eyes were just big circles - so cute” Carmen
